3rd & 4th Grade Players
Our 3rd and 4th grade program practices two times a week for 90 minutes starting in mid-February. Our travel team made up of returning players has a full schedule of Saturday games, and the whole group participates in our “modified” 7x7 program (similar to micro-soccer) of scrimmage-style games on Sundays. Full gear—lacrosse stick, shoulder and arm pads, and helmets—is required at this level.
5th & 6th Grade Players
Our 5th and 6th grade program practices two times a week for 90 minutes from early February through early June, with most games on Saturday (there may be an occasional week-day game). This level of play is still developmental with kids continuing to perfect the fundamentals and learn the game. Ball handling and conditioning both improve substantially at this level, and the boys are introduced to more complex team offense and defense concepts. Full gear—lacrosse stick, shoulder and arm pads, and helmets—is required at this level.
Our 7th and 8th grade program practice three times a week for 90 minutes starting in early February through early June with games on Saturday. There may be an occasional week-day game. This level of play is faster and more physical with still more emphasis on ball handling and movement, and play calling on both offense and defense. We also have a try out for a select team at the 7/8 level. Full gear—lacrosse stick, shoulder and arm pads, and helmets—is required at this level.
All High School Players
We offer three high school teams; Varsity, JV, and Frosh-Soph. Led by our Program Director, John Baumann, we feature excellent, experienced coaches on all teams. The program is currently running fall ball sessions twice a week, and will have winter conditioning followed by tryouts after the new year. This is a no-cut program in that all players will have a place to play, regardless of ability.
